First and Upper Level Floor Systems
Posts, beams, floor joists and 5/8" T&G plywood
sheeting. Also offered - 2nd floor exposed solid timber
beams and ceiling joists, and 2" x 6" T&G
pine flooring.
Main Entrance
Choice of insulated steel doors with insulated
glass, and all necessary hardware. Patio doors: Quality
solid pine doors with insulated tempered glass, screens
and necessary hardware.
Exterior Walls
First storey exterior walls of custom
cut, dual tongue and groove logs. 7.5" D-shape
logs with drip edge, saddlenotch corners. Gable walls
and dormer walls in conventional 2" x 6" frame
construction, exterior finished with sheeting, strapping,
building paper and choice of siding
Interior Wall Studs
2" x 4" studs, top and bottom
plates, and 2" x 6" studs and plates for washroom
stack vent wall. As an option, walls can be finished
in drywall, wainscot/drywall or solid pine T&G plank
machined to match interior log profile.
Roof Construction - Truss Roof
Custom designed, pre-engineered, snow
load rated roof trusses. Framing for gables and overhangs,
1/2" plywood sheathing. Heavy-duty asphalt shingles
(20 year warranty/235 lb.)
Wood Preservative
Sufficient wood preservative for initial
application to exterior surface of logs. To be applied
by customer.
Roof Overhangs
Three-foot roof overhangs, soffits finished
in 1"x 6" tongue and groove pine, 2"x
6" sub fascias and 1"x 8" cedar fascia
boards.
Hardware
Metal drip caps, spikes, nails and other
necessary hardware to complete installation of Standard
Material Package
Ventilation
Continuous strip soffit and ridge ventilation
system to ensure constant airflow
Delivery
Delivery by land transportation within
300km radius of Bancroft, Ontario. Additional kms as
per current rate.
Windows
High quality casement windows with Low-E
insulated glass. Swing-out design, complete with splines,
custom trims and hardware.
Blue Prints
Five sets of blue prints, all specifications
meet the Ontario Building code
